Superficial Dry Needling
"I have tried many therapies, but Dr. Richey was able to get rid of my pain! I did not have that sharp burning pain and was able to dance and walk up stairs pain free!" -Samantha R.
The doctors at Arc of Life use a superficial dry needling technique to help eliminate pain from tight muscle bands, trigger points, as well as tight and tender fascial areas. Most patient's report no pain with the needle being inserted and an immediate decrease in pain and tenderness afterward.
Dry needling is a slightly invasive therapy that was originally inspired by acupuncture, and it is a very popular pain-relief treatment. It involves gently inserting hair-thin needles into the skin for the purposes of relieving tension and pain. The needle is called “dry” because it is not an injection-based type of needle.
The needle stimulates receptors in the skin that generates a reflex that brings about pain relief.
Advanced Arthritis Relief Protocol (AARP)
A natural non-surgical restorative approach for knee and joint pain associated with osteoarthritis. The protocol includes:
Viscosupplementation. A procedure involving the injection of gel-like substances (hyaluronates) into a joint to supplement the viscous properties of synovial fluid. This procedure has been shown to be 92.7% successful in alleviating pain associated with osteoarthritis and is covered by most major medical insurance providers and Medicare.
Fluoroscopy. A breakthrough piece of medical equipment that allows our medical staff to look inside your joints-in real time- with the latest imaging technology while administering any of our minimally invasive natural injections. This helps insure the injected material is in the correct location for the best results.
Rehabilitation. One of the reasons our knee protocol is so highly successful is our rehabilitation strategy. We combine lite knee exercise using state of the art rehab equipment and fit each patient with a cutting edge unloading knee brace.
